Who may become a member?
We welcome all men and women who would like to be part of a group that actively serves our community. Through our fundraising efforts and other donations we have raised well over $500,000 during the past ten years to distribute throughout the community.
The Manteca Sunrise Kiwanis Club strives to be the best service club in the area as we try to "give something back" to our community. We invite you to be a part of our group.
What is the cost of membership?
The monthly cost of membership is $37 per month and includes weekly meals and monthly dues.
Please check for current new member fees.
You'll find that part of the fun in our meeting includes various fines for deeds and "misdeeds". These are always in jest and negotiable with the President.
When & where are the meetings?
Our breakfast meetings are held every Thursday morning at 6:45 a.m. at the VFW Hall located at 580 Moffet Blvd in Manteca. The fun and business part of the meeting begins, followed by a guest speaker. The meeting adjourns at 8 a.m.
Each member strives to have perfect attendance at our meetings. If you cannot attend a meeting, you can do a "make-up" by attending a board meeting, working on a service project or attending a meeting of another Kiwanis club.
If you are interested in becoming a member, we invite you to be a guest at one of our meetings. We do require potential members to attend three meeting to get a "flavor" for the club and have an opportunity to understand what we're all about.
New members are approved by the Board of Directors and initiated in a formal induction ceremony. The member who sponsors you will guide you through the process of becoming an active member of our club.
