OFFICIAL RULES

  1. Final closing date for entries is 12 noon on June 29th; entry fee (if required) must be paid at the time entry form is received.
  2. All units should be in line at 9:00 AM, parade starts at 10:00 AM sharp.
  3. Thirty feet spacing is required between all units. Entries cannot be over 12 feet high from the ground.
  4. All entries must complete parade route or be disqualified.
  5. No throwing of objects is allowed.
  6. All float entries must be constructed of flame retardant materials. Fire extinguishers are required on all floats.
  7. All bicycle riders must wear helmets.
  8. All Parade Marshalls and Officials must be obeyed.
  9. All entries are subject to review by the Parade Committee and may be disqualified if deemed unsafe or in poor taste.
  10. An entry cannot participate in more than one category and will be judged in one category only.
  11. The judging stand will be on the left side of the parade route.
  12. Parade judging for horses starts at 8:30 AM.
  13. Equestrian entries judged by the California State Horseman’s Association (C.S.H.A.).
  14. Equestrian entries, please clean up after horse at staging and end of parade (pooper scoopers provided in parade route).
  15. Riding the parade route before line up is not allowed.
  16. Allowable time for performing before the Judging/Announcing Stand:
    1. A routine of no more than 60 seconds by any entrant. Equestrian units are limited to one complete circle.
  17. Control of vehicles and animals must be maintained at all times.
  18. No one under the eight (8) years of age may appear as an entry unless accompanied by an adult.
  19. Units with unusual or loud noise must inform parade Chairman before the parade. Failure to do so could result in disqualification.
  20. All participants agree to release the Manteca Fourth of July Celebration, City of Manteca, members and workers of the Parade Committee, Committee designates, and all responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury to any person or property from participation in this event. All participants must respect the right of all property owners. Remember, we are quest in their neighborhood.

HISTORY/BIO & COMMENT SECTION INFO:

In order to give your entry proper recognition during the parade, please provide a brief history of your entry, such as the purpose of your organization, significance of entry, names of participants, prizes won, or other pertinent information.  For Equestrian entries tell us if your horse has a special need such as, does it need to be separated from other horses or does it need to be paired with another horse. 

Certificates will be mailed out to Winners

Line-up/staging: N Main St. at Jason St. Check-in on Jason across the street from Fagundes Meat Inc., maps and entry instructions will be provided one week prior to the parade date.

 

Parade Route: From Jason and N Main St. south on Main St. to Center, right on Center to Poplar and Library Park
